Guppy's - how to find it and admission details, etc.
Guppy's is a club, and annual membership costs £2.10. You don't have to wait to join, you can sign up on the night. There is an admission charge to the club each week of £2.30, and drinks are available at reasonable prices.

Directions:
From the South, take the A64 to York and come off at the second exit to York, signed York West, follow the signs to York until you come to a set of traffic lights with the city walls directly in front of you. Turn right at the lights into
Nunnery Lane. Guppy's is number 17, and if you turn into the council car park on your left you can park opposite the place.
From the North, find York Railway Station and pass it with the station on your right. Follow the road over the bridge and down to the traffic lights. Go over the lights into
Nunnery Lane. Guppy's is number 17, and if you turn into the council car park on your left you can park opposite the place.
There is no committment (you don't even have to join the club - you can pay
£2.80 guest membership if you like), and you can turn up whenever you feel like a Friday night out.
